Author’s Note

 

I wrote Mistletoe in the City several years ago as part of an anthology for my former publisher. Now, since the rights have reverted to me, I’m re-releasing it as a standalone novella with extra and extended scenes, a new sub-plot, and some revised characterizations. On the whole, it’s the same story as before, but now it’s more detailed and delves deeper into Krista and Derek’s steamy and sometimes rocky relationship. I hope you have a blast reading it.

 

Steamy Excerpt

Derek couldn’t wait another moment. As soon as Krista hopped into the cab of his truck, he pressed her down against the bench seat and climbed on top of her. Thank Christ he’d parked in a shadowy corner of the now deserted parking garage. Heat blew from the dash, fighting back the invasive cold. He wouldn’t fuck her, but he’d do enough to sate his appetite as long as she was game.

She groaned and clutched his shoulders. “Kiss me.”

Hell, yes. Game on. He claimed her lips with bruising, delirious force and stole her gasp, swallowing it deep. Their tongues dueled and teeth clanked as he yanked off her coat, then his, and shoved them to the floor. Her scarf followed.

“Yes. More.”

Sparks of energy sizzled through his veins and pulsed through his every organ. She writhed against him in slow, sensual torture as he slid his touch between their bodies and pulled up the hem of her soft dress. The dashboard lights lit her smooth, quivering stomach and heaving chest in a stark golden glow and gleamed off the specks of green in her hazel eyes. Red lace cupped her breasts like a treasure meant for taking. He freed the front clasp and nearly choked as her gorgeous tits popped free. He laved his eager tongue across each taut nipple and savored Krista’s tiny little gasps of shock and pleasure. Fingering the left nub, he sucked the other into his mouth and licked the sweet rosebud until she arched her back and cried out. Then he buried his face in her twin mountains, biting and kissing her delicate flesh.

She gripped his hair and tossed her head from side to side.

Splaying his hand wide on her middle, he licked circles around her belly button and then hooked his index finger in the waistband of her black leggings. His cock throbbed so hard against his zipper that each scrape of the metal teeth across his flesh shot wisps of erotic fire through the organ as if his boxers weren’t even there.

“Come for me, honey.” He pulled down her leggings and red panties just enough to slip in his fingers. Her thighs clenched around him, then relaxed. Teasing her wet, hot clit with gentle strokes, he suckled on the smooth concave of her neck and nibbled on the throbbing tendon that pushed against her skin.

“Derek, that feels so good.”

Damn right. His heart pounded so hard he could barely breathe. He plunged two fingers inside her and twisted his wrist, dragging his knuckles across her G-spot.

“Oh, fuck!” she cried out, her eyes flaring wide.

He pushed in and out. Strength and satin wrapped around him. “I’m crazy about you.”

 “Derek, please. Oh, Derek,” she panted his name like a mantra as her feminine muscles squeezed. Pleasure lit her face. “Taste me. I need your mouth on me.”

“Fuck.” He grabbed her legs and lifted them high enough to his head between her thighs and the stretched material of her clothes. Her feet clacked against the roof before her legs settled on his shoulders and back. A tuft of tidy curls concealed his prize, and her soft moans beckoned him to take it. As if she had to ask. Yeah, right. He dipped his head and swiped his tongue across her puffy clit. She jerked in his embrace, but he tightened his grip on her thighs. Her delicious tang filled his mouth, and her womanly scent seared his nostrils, forever imprinting itself in his memory. His taste buds danced as he trembled.

“Damn, that’s good. Ahh, more!” She rolled her hips and shifted her legs.

Her jaw-dropping boots dug against his back, urging him on. He blew hot air across her mound and glanced over her squirming body as tears rolled down her cheeks. Yes! Tears. Just what he wanted.
