I'm frustrated!
My sales suck with a capital SUCK! People think, 'Oh, you're an author. You must be rich.' NOT!
I get 30 to 40 % of my sales. Sounds good. This last quarter I made $15. That's after publishers, editors and cover artists' payment. I have done pay promotions, blog tours, and interviews, and it gets me nowhere. Some of my fellow authors are making money and when I ask how they do it they saw 'Hard work.' Right, okay but how? Share your sources. My publishers aren't helpful either. You would think they'd want more money. Ahhhh!!
Don't get me wrong. I like my publishers. Still....
And don't get me started on Piracy. I'll save that for another time.
